I have to admit that my latest guilty pleasure is watching Downton Abbey. I resisted as long as possible. I knew it was on Sunday nights. I started hearing and reading about how people were loving it and hooked on it and couldn't wait till the next episode.
I lasted till the next to last episode of season 3. I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I had never seen a single episode and I only vaguely even knew what it was about. This was the episode where O'Brien started making trouble for Thomas.
(sigh)
Hook, line and sinker.
Some suggested I could get the previous seasons on DVD at the library and since I'm
Others suggested I could watch the previous seasons on Netflix. Good suggestion except several months ago I quit Netflix and got HBO (hello Veep!)
That meant I was on a hard target search to buy season 1 and season 2 and season 3 when it came out. If we have to eat beans so I can watch it, so be it!
All 3 seasons are at Walmart. Gotta love Walmart, they have everything I need and they know that I need it and get it before I even know that I need it!
I just finished season 1 this past weekend and season 2 is in the house. England has gone to war with Germany.
And what's this business about O'Brien leaving? Could Thomas be making trouble for her? Did he mention something to Mr. Carter about her ladies' soap?
...

Your flower is gorgeous. So soft and pretty. Perfect texture.. I have not watched Downton Abbey yet. But I think I am going to have to watch it to see what all the hoopla is about. It does sound like the kinda show I would love.
Hugs~
Lovely shot. So simple and beautiful.
Downtown Abbey is addictive, it lures you in. Have seen the first two seasons but haven't seen season three yet.
Love this image, so soft and pretty. I'm a Downton addict too (LOVE the Dowager!) - watched the first series pretty much in one sitting! Enjoy the rest (money wisely invested, IMHO!).
So so pretty . . .filming has just started on series 4 . . .Teresa x
Beautiful spring image; soft and lovely. Funny, my mom, sister, and I were just talking about this last night. It has me intriqued. I'm going to see how long the wait list is at our library. We have 8-10 libraries in town that interswap books. Maybe the wait won't be too long!
I just had to come back and tell you...there's only 89 holds on 8 copies of the first season in our library system!! I would have forgotten I requested it by the time it finely go to be my turn. Maybe I'll check out Walmart, too!!
So lovely photo!!
loving the light and the pretty pale pink. beautiful
Enjoy Season 2, your photo is very lovely.
I am still a Downton holdout. Yup. Probably the last one in the civilized world. But I love, love, love Kim's Downton collections and your tulip is "beyond" lovely!
Linda, your photos are simply awesome! Such an artistic eye, you have. I haven't watched Downton yet but just might get around to Walmart and see they have it. That idea about getting HBO is a good one, too. I might cancel my Netflix and try that.
