The Oscars and a little dreaming

I stayed up till the end of the Academey Awards on Sunday night.  Did you?  Even though I only saw 1 of the movies nominated for best picture, I wanted to see if it won and it did!

I'm bad about going out to the movies. I just never do. Trophy husband really doesn't like going either. But we do watch movies at home sometimes. We watched Argo last Friday night! I saw it was out on DVD so I figured it was on pay-per-view and it was!

Last week I was suddenly aware that the Academy Awards were on this past weekend so I got online and googled the nominees! Then watched the trailers for the best picture nominees and decided there was a few I was interested in after all! It's like cramming for the test at the last minute. Which is something I may or may not have done in my past school life.

Now I want to see Life of Pi and Amour and maybe Silver Linings Notebook, Beasts of the Southern Wild and Django Unchained. I know trophy husband will want to see Django Unchained because he is a huge Tarentino fan.

Really my fave part of the whole thing is the dresses! Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry and Charlize Theron were my faves. Jane Fonda looked pretty good. Anne Hathaway was an epic fail with her distracting "pointy darts" and side boobage. Any why was Kristen Stewart there? Anyone? Anyone?

...

I haven't played along with Kim Klassed's Texture Tuesday for a while. I'm going to participate again and this is my submission for this week.  The theme is "like  dream" and we had to use one of her textures.
Here's the recipe-
first a trip through RadLab (and I forgot what stylets I used, of course)
KK Sybil-soft light 100%
KK 1301-soft light 80%
KK Sonnetmagic-screen 35%
each layer got a layer mask where I erased the texture from the tips of the two petals in front
text-caflish script warped with arc upper (and I forgot what sliders I moved)

That's it! It's always a matter of trial and error with me. Mostly error. But it's fun!

Very nice.
I haven't tried the warped script. It really worked for this.

I also stayed to watch the Oscars and had not seen any of the movies. Wanted to see what everyone was wearing. This edit is simply stunning, fabulous job.
