September [in the picture] Perspective
September's optional theme for {in the picture} was perspective. We were encouraged to try some selfies from different perspectives.
September was a busy month over here. Even though school started for Riley, Sophia was arriving at 8 every morning. We started our school year routine, early lunch, nap then pick Riley up from school. Sometimes the girls would be here till 6.
Those 10 hour days were getting to me! I'm not such a spring chicken anymore! I fell behind in my photography fun. Barely posting to Instagram, but keeping up with my 365 by way of my phone camera!
Using my phone camera so much has actually been a good thing. I learned a few tricks.
Plus, I upgraded my 3GS to a 4S! The pictures were so much nicer!
The photo above is a new selfie blended with a picture I took last summer when we were visiting Albuquerque.
The selfie above was taken with Hipstamatic. September was a busy month and it had lots of days where I was feeling a little blue. This was one of them.
That's me peeking through the ferns and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes! They were bad this year!
I took it with my phone camera.
I used my DSLR for this one. The edit on it is bad. But the process taught me a lot. I'll give it another try, it was fun!
I was going for a ghost effect. I tried it a couple of different ways, this one turned out the best. This selfie session turned into a workout! First I had to set up my "studio" then go back and forth to the camera until I got a shot that was decent, then take it all down!
I took it with my DSLR and processed it in LR and PSE. It's got 2 KK textures on it.
Taking selfies, for me, is a creative process. It is fun! I have some more ideas I hope to find time for soon!

linda, looks like you got some good experimenting in this month even though you didn't have that much time. these are all great shots! thanks for linking up this month.
Hi Linda! My favourite shot is the top one with your eye in the sky! Then I liked number four with all those different positions in the armchair. That was fun! You have been very inventive!

Some great images here, Linda! I'm sure this burst of creativity helped you keep your sanity during Sept. I hear ya on the 10 hour days! We love our grans but when it's time to go home, it's time to go home! This is day 2 of fall break week here and just before coming up here, I had the thought - This leaves me no energy for photography! Somehow we'll get it all together!
