I do, now can we go inside where it's cool?

Did I mention I live in an oven?

Yeah, I spend a lot of time cooking and putting my head in the oven in the house, but, as much as I love living here, it gets freaking hot outside in the summertime.

Freaking hot, like 100+ degrees! Already over 20-something times this year! We're either in a drought-like now-or a flood-stay tuned.

And I love summertime!

The best way to enjoy summer and not wither and die is to spend it consuming and being consumed by water, like in a pool or at the lake. (but please don't consume that water!)

We used to be the proud owners of this

didja notice the lake out back?

now that's what I'm talking about!

It took us over 20 years to find and buy a lakehouse and the one we got was right next door to my DH's sister's in-laws place. Sounds convoluted, I know!

Used to be 'cause we sold it in 2005.  We were going through some tough family times with MIL and FIL so we had neither the time or inclination to tend to this place anymore.  DH had done a complete remodel on it.  It looked noting like it does now when we got it.  But anyway, sometimes I miss it.

This weekend, there was a wedding at what is now my SIL's place next door. And we went.  Beautiful setting, sucky extreme temperature.

now that's getting walked down the aisle in style!

how adorable is the daughter of the bride/flower girl?

I became obsessed with taking pictures through the lattice! (OCD much?)

they did something like a unity candle with these tequila bottles. they are filled with sand, blue sand and white sand. (I was wishing they were filled with tequila! ;))

I loved everyones "formal" footwear!

love these!

Of course it was only 97 degrees during the nuptials.  Practically winter!

Even if it was 'dry' heat, 97 is H-O-T. Love the color of those bridesmaids dresses! They look like cool blue water, which I guess everyone needed at that wedding, eh?
