(CWF) Yogurt Parfaits with Chocolate Granola & Bananas

Yum!

Just the name of this makes my mouth water!

And this one doesn't disappoint!

A big thank you to Julie at Little Bit of Everything for choosing this!  Go see her for the recipe!  Be sure to stop by and see what all the other intrepid bakers concocted this month!  You can get to them through the Chocolate with Francois blog.

This is a very simple recipe.  Making the granola was quick and easy and it made the house smell chocolaty.  My DGD came over while it was cooling and kept asking what that good smell was.

The taste of the chocolate granola reminded me of the Cracaos.  It has a nutty, cinnamony flavor.  The toasted coconut is a nice surprise.  I had lots of chocolate granola left over.  My DH likes to sprinkle it over a bowl of ice cream!

Cooking the bananas made them so soft and gooey!  A good companion to the crunchy granola and creamy yogurt!  Next time I might add some cognac to the pan!

That's really all there is to this treat.  The assembly of the parfaits is to layer the ingredients.  First the bananas on the bottom followed by yogurt (I used my favorite Greek yogurt) then the chocolate granola.

Really yummy!  Really easy!

Till next month!

I've gotten to the point where I often roast bananas before I add them to anything. Something about that process intensifies the flavor and makes them all caramely. YUM.
